who do you consider the best affiliate marketing course author?
There are so many "Gurus" and other top affiliate marketers out there, how do you know which one to trust with your money, and which ones are worth your time?

I am currently following along on a program called Smart Beginners.
It’s from the people who have been doing The System Seminar for
over a decade now.
If you are a beginner or just need to fill in some gaps about some of
the technical aspects of running an online business, their course is
very well structured to give you these skills so that you can start to
take advantage of all the other programs that presume that you already
have the technical chops to keep up with their instructions.
Alas, there are some down-sides to the course:
1. it’s kindof expensive – $500
2. it’s actually a physical course that is mailed to you
Despite these issues, there are many positive pieces too:
1. they make a point of not overwhelming you with too much information.
2. there are assignments every week that lead you towards having an online business
3. they are in touch for those 5 weeks via email helping you to make progress
4. it will definitely get you over the hump of learning much of the basic skills you will need
Hope this helps
FRANK KERN AND JOHN REESE and try this program called The Afilliate Code. It’s a good one. Very detailed!!!

I’ve liked Steve Clayton’s material, starting with Commission Blueprint which was a low hyp step-by-step guide to the nuts and bolts of PPC affiliate marketing (lots of tedious spreadsheet work), his later stuff where he has gotten from behind his office computer onto a podium, has gotten more expensive and slicker. Commission Blueprint I has recently been pulled from the market to make room for Commission Blueprint II, which is kind of a complimentary product using SEO rather than PPC.
His SEM.Blueprint ($197 last time I looked) is a guide for marketing yourself as an IM consultant an area not many other tutorials get into.
The mix of experts in the Stompernets faculty provide a high level of coverage, some presentations have quite an "academic" feel. Though they cover a lot more than affiliate marketing, their current price of $197/mo for a ton of material (some 1400 videos) seems reasonable, compared to their original? $800/mo price. Their September membership drive offered around a Gig of free sample material, most actually usable.
There are no perfect affiliate marketing guru. Each of them has a specific skill.
Jamie Lewis: Pay Per Click
Dylan Loh: article marketing
Rob Benwell: Blog strategy
Alvin Phang: Blog utilized by web 2.0
You should consider what traffic method you will use.
I have used Maverick Money Makers. This is one of the cheapest – under $100 sign up and has over 400 hours of great video content – certainly got me started in the affiliate arena. His Club offers a complete step by step guide on how to get started and you can use the blueprint area which has everything mapped out for you. He is offering a great discount and bonus package at the moment as well. Hope it works for you too.
